    Introduction to Digital Communities

    Learn to use free tools on the web to publish and share your thoughts, images and videos. This is quicker and easier than building a web site.

    Practical exercises on this one day course will include;

    Using Flickr

    Setting up a blog (an on line diary similar to a web page)

    Putting a movie on YouTube

    Compressing images to make them load quicker

    Digital media

    This design based programme allows students to explore different areas of digital design, encouraging creative and technical design skills for a wide range of industry careers. The course delivers three modules (60 credits) towards an FdA (Foundation Degree) in Digital Media Design & Production.

    The course includes:

    Digital Photography

    Photo and image editing

    Graphic Design

    Digital Film making and editing

    Motion Graphics

    Web design

    Students basic design skills and processes and use industry standard software including:

    Adobe Photoshop

    Adobe Illustrator

    Adobe Premiere

    Adobe Flash

    Adobe After Effects

    Adobe Dreamweaver
