Experience of Organisation
Our organisation, Interactive Rhyl Ltd was set up in 1999 as a company Limited by guarantee - made up of 6 volunteer directors. The Company project managed an IT centre as part of the Business Connect IT centres where it delivered IT consultancy and business support as part of a national programme. In 2001 when funding for Business Connect centres diminished, the company developed the ‘Digital Village Hall for Women’ project to utilize the existing IT facility for the community. The Company went on to further develop the project into the successful Women’s eVillage Project for Women. In 2006 / 2007 with new funding from the Big Lottery’s Community fund and Objective 1 ESF funding, the project relocated and began the first stages of development into the North Wales Women’s Centre. To date the organisation has supported over 900 women.
